We've taken all steps to ensure we're fully COVID-secure, ensuring that all touch-points within the cars will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each lesson/driving session, and face masks will be encouraged where possible.

What happens to driving lessons in lockdown?

Obviously, you are aware that the UK is now in lockdown due to the spread of the coronavirus. At this stage, it is unknown how long this will last and sadly this has meant we have had to suspend driving lessons which do not fall in the essential service category. We are of course determined to protect the health of our driving instructors and our loyal students, so it is sensible that services are suspended from when lockdown started in March. Two people sitting in a vehicle are not able to sit the required distance apart, will be breathing the same air, and trips out on the road for driving lessons fall under pleasure, not essential travel.

There are a lot of restrictions and sanctions which you have to deal with and then before you know it, you come under pressure to grow up and be able to tackle the world with limited experience. We understand that here at Progress Youth - and that's one of the reasons we launched this service - to give teenagers road safety and driving experience in a safe, qualified and fun way.
